Writing your first CSA Handbook can be overwhelming.

What do I include? What do my members need to know? So many farmer just skip this step — but they do so at their peril!

Membership handbooks have a vital role in the health of your CSA. In today’s episode, we talk about what they do for your customer and your business. But we also share what exactly you should put inside your handbook to make it work its magic! By the end of this episode, you’ll have a great idea of how to get started with writing your own version OR updating the one you’ve been using for the last 5 years…

You can download my CSA Handbook here and use it as a guide to write your own.

Hit play and let’s get started!

Some of the resources mentioned in this episode:

        • Find my Facebook group for farmers! I jump in here every month to teach farmers tips and fundamentals of marketing.
        • FarmCommons.org
        • Grab my CSA Handbook Template here and use it to help you build your own!
        • What Should Be Included in a Good CSA Membership Agreement? University of Maryland Extension
        • Want to check out my CSA Tips & Strategies Canva file? This resource has helped lots of CSA farmers easily create a beautiful resource document, that will help your CSA rookies achieve mastery faster. It would be a great resource to link up in your CSA handbook.
        • Join my CSA Academy. The Academy is my online library where I store all the trainings and support resources for my CSA members. As a CSA farmer, you can also join on a monthly basis to access every resource inside. Use it to inspire your own “Quick Win” content creation for the early part of your season. Cancel anytime. You only pay a monthly subscription fee. I recommend joining for 4-5 months to help serve as your go-to resource guide to support your own members in season!
