109 CSA Farm Case Study ~ Interview with Ann Stone of Elmwood Stock Farm
May 26, 2021 by Corinna
I love interviewing other amazing CSA farms. And this week’s episode is no exception.
I stumbled upon Ann Stone from Elmwood Farms, after she asked me to do a website audit fo her farm. I was so impressed with her operation, that I asked her to come onto the show to talk about her marketing strategy for her multi-faceted operation. Ann shares the secrets she’s learned for maximizing profits from her CSA members, and also mentions a new CSA software management system that sounds VERY promising.
Who is Ann Stone?
Ann Stone is the manager of the CSA Farm Shares and marketing at Elmwood Stock Farm in Georgetown, KY — a sixth-generation family farm situated on 550 acres outside the city. A USDA certified organic operation, Elmwood Stock Farm produces vegetables, fruits, pantry items, pasture-raised poultry and pork, and grass-fed, grass-finished beef and lamb for direct sales to customers through the CSA Farm Share and online store, as well as for wholesale and restaurant accounts.
