149 This Farm Has a Great Marketing Funnel – My Interview with Jamie Pritchard of WIT Farm

149 This Farm Has a Great Marketing Funnel – My Interview with Jamie Pritchard of WIT Farm

March 2, 2022 by Corinna

I first  noticed this week’s guest in my private Facebook group for farmers, when she posted her “Everything You Need to Know About Buying Bulk Pork” Guide. This guide was such an elegantly designed piece that broke down the complicated process for potential clients on how to buy a half hog. I was impressed. I asked her onto the show so we could spotlight that resource. But she ended up sharing SO much more value in our time together.

In this week’s episode, I interview livestock farmer Jamie Pritchard from WIT Farms in Ohio. Jamie shares how she has cultivated a loyal fan base for her pastured-raised meats over the last 5 years. I ask her to break down her marketing funnel for me, and you’ll see a simple, yet elegant, process that intentionally pulls clients into her brand.

  • Jamie identifies her 3 avatars in her business and how she developed over 100 products to be able to meet the demand.
  • We talk about her ‘a-ha’ moments during her entrepreneurial journey (and one of them involves pricing).
  • She clarifies her “why” that drives people to sign up for HER meat over her competition.
  • We talk about what “WIT” means in her farm name (pretty cool story).
  • She gives advice on how she uses email marketing to sell her products.
  • And then there’s the part about the QR codes and “the binder” which blew my mind.

Who is Jamie Pritchard?

Jamie PritchardJamie Pritchard is a first-generation livestock farmer based in central Ohio. In 2017 Jamie made the move from Missouri to pursue farming part time. After joining a year one farmers market in 2019 and having a successful year, she quit her corporate job to farm full time. Five short years later Jamie is a self-taught farmer always working to expand her operation. Currently, WIT Farm products can be found at a variety of farmers markets, shops, drop points and this year – a brand new CSA! Jamie is newly married (New Years Day!) to her husband, Kyle. Kyle is WIT Farms resident handyman. You can find more about Jamie, Kyle and WIT Farm by visiting their website WITFarm.com or by following them on Instagram at @WITFarmOH
