43: It’s Too Expensive – How to Feel Good About Your CSA Pricing

Feb 5, 2020 by Corinna

“It’s too expensive.”

You ever hear people say that about your CSA product?

Does it make you cringe? Maybe feel some self-doubt?

Pricing is way more than just an analysis of your costs versus profit margins. It’s also an emotional and psychological decision.

I remember my first season of CSA. I felt very unconfident about my product’s price. And as a result, I wasn’t confident about marketing it.

Fast forward 12 years later. My price is $100 higher and I feel TERRIFIC about it — even when someone says, “That’s too expensive.”

You need to feel good about your product offer price.

So how do you get there?

In this episode, I’m going to talk about some of the elements you MUST remember before you price your CSA product, so that you feel absolutely confident about your offer.

Hit play and let’s get started!

Some of the resources mentioned in this episode:

  • Find my Facebook group for farmers! I jump in here every week to teach farmers tips and fundamentals of marketing.
  • You can build a testimonial-collecting mechanism in your business with a good email service provider. Place requests for testimonials inside a drip email campaign. I LOVE  ConvertKit as my preferred email provider. Use my link to grab 2 weeks for free and try it out! <== That’s an affiliate link! So I’ll get a small commission if you buy through that link. (Thank you!)
  • Curious about my CSA Academy that I offer to my CSA members? You can purchase a membership inside for a month at a time (or annually) and see how this piece adds enormous value to my offer. Check it out here.
  • Check out my CSA’s website to see how I “anchor” the price with 3 options.
