49: Interview with Carrie Sedlack – How the National CSA Innovation Network Came to Be

March 18, 2020 by Corinna

I’m really excited to share this week’s episode. Because I have a GUEST.

This week, I feature Carrie Sedlack on the show. I interview her specifically about a new project she is spearheading — a national CSA network called the “CSA Innovation Network.” We talk through how this project came to be, what its goals are, and how CSA farmers will be able to specifically benefit. I’ve become a collaborator on this project, so I’m especially keen to help it succeed.

carrie sedlackCarrie Sedlak is the Executive Director at FairShare CSA Coalition, a non-profit organization that connects farmers and eaters through community supported agriculture (CSA). FairShare delivers a robust grower education program, offers a food access program, and coordinates community events and educational campaigns to promote CSA and local, organic agriculture. Carrie’s background in public health and urban planning inform her daily work at FairShare, as does her previous experience in farm to school and organic vegetable farming.

Some of the resources mentioned in this episode:

  • Find my Facebook group for farmers! I jump in here every week to teach farmers tips and fundamentals of marketing.
  • Watch my free training “The 6 Reasons People Buy” by subscribing here: www.mydigitalfarmer.com/WhyTheyBuy This is a totally free training. Simply subscribe and I’ll send you the video training link in your inbox. I don’t pitch anything at the end of this training! It’s not a webinar. I consider it one of the fundamentals of marketing that will REALLY get your mind spinning on how to increase your revenues. And I want you to learn it! This presentation got rave reviews at the PASA conference in 2020, so I decided to share it with everyone.
