58: What to Say When Your CSA is SOLD OUT
May 27, 2020 by Corinna
Have you sold out yet in your CSA?
GOOD FOR YOU! (Feel amazing, doesn’t it?)
Now… what are you telling people when they ask if they can join your CSA?
You’re sending them to a wait list, aren’t you.
Yeah, I used to do that too. But in today’s episode, I share something ELSE I want you to try — something that has a MUCH higher conversion rate long-term.

Some of the resources mentioned in this episode:
- Find my Facebook group for farmers! I jump in here every week to teach farmers tips and fundamentals of marketing.
- Interested in trying Local Line? Use my affiliate link when you sign up for your free 7 day trial, and you’ll receive a free premium upgrade (value: $300) if you decide to join as a paid member.
- ConvertKit — this is my email service provider. I often get asked which one I recommend. If you’re just starting out and need a free tool, use MailChimp. But I love ConvertKit because it’s much easier to use and has a lot of robust automation features. CK is a text-only email, so you won’t be able to make fancy looking email templates. (Those have lower deliverability rates which is why CK doesn’t offer them). But if you want that functionality, then I recommend ActiveCampaign as the tool to use.
- My CSA Membership Academy — This tool has been a lifeline for my CSA members, and the price goes up in a month. Join this online library on a monthly or annual basis and get access to the “success path” I’ve created for my CSA members to help them become really good at using their box. I have a lot of farmers who purchase the Academy to help them get ideas and templates for their own training system. Join now for a month, and cancel anytime!
