Episode 70 If You Decide to Create a CSA Wait List, Do THIS

Episode 70 If You Decide to Create a CSA Wait List, Do THIS

August 19, 2020 by Corinna

A few weeks ago, I ran out of Sampler CSA shares. I had nothing to sell, and yet I still had people who wanted to buy my CSA. What do you do when you’re REALLY sold out?! Normally, I teach NOT to do a wait list, because they don’t end up converting 3 months later. However…  this month, I tried something new with my wait list offer, and it’s working. I share what you need to add to your Wait List offer to get it to work.

Hit play and let’s get started!

Some of the resources mentioned in this episode:

  • Find my Facebook group for farmers! I jump in here every week to teach farmers tips and fundamentals of marketing.
  • I mention my free “Why They Buy” workshop in this episode. You can access it here.
  • Episode 58 What to say When Your CSA Is Sold Out – listen here.
  • Episode 65 Seven Ways to Use Video Emails – learn how to use tools like Bonjoro to close sales.
  • Want to try using a Video email software like Bonjoro? Check it out here for their free trial using my affiliate link. I use these to say hello to people who ask to be on my wait list! I think it helps conversions!
  • Register for the Free CSA Ideas Lab Training: Keeping CSA Customers: Effective Early Bird Sign-up Campaigns (sponsored by CSA Innovation Network) on August 26, 2-3 PM EST at this link. It’s free. Join Corinna Bench of MyDigitalFarmer.com and Tessa DeMaster of Willowhaven Farm, who will share best practices on how to build a strong early bird CSA sign-up campaign. Corinna will share her inspiring story and include recommendations on how to set up a marketing campaign that will get current CSA customers to make a financial commitment to the farm way in advance. CSA farmer Tessa DeMaster shares how she modified the approach to work for her farm. We’ll end with discussion where everyone can share questions, advice, and ideas that have worked for them.
