63 How to Build an Email Nurture Sequence to Warm Up Your Email List
July 1, 2020 by Corinna
So you have an email list. People are subscribing. Your leads are growing in number.
Now what?
In this episode, I talk you through the value of an email “nurture” sequence.
A what, Corinna?
Also known as a nurture campaign, email drip sequence, these bad boys are a great way to create connection to your audience.
In this episode, I walk you through what they are, what kinds of things go in them, and how they can help you grow the know, like, and trust factor with your new email subscribers.
I also share my own personal email nurture sequence with you as a template. See the resources listed below for how to access it! Your assignment: create your own 5-email nurture campaign and set it into motion.
I wrote mine 3 years ago, and it’s STILL doing the job! Once written, this is an asset that will continue to add value to your marketing funnel for years to come.

Some of the resources mentioned in this episode:
- Find my Facebook group for farmers! I jump in here every week to teach farmers tips and fundamentals of marketing. I’ll be running the Email Nurture Challenge, starting July 12, 2020, inside this group! To watch it and participate, make sure you’re inside!
- Grab my farm’s Nurture Email Sequence. Use this “Swipe file” as a template to build your own version and to see how they might be written!
- I mention The KLT Factor in this episode. Listen to Podcast Episode 62 to learn about how to build the Know Like Trust Factor.
- Digital Marketer — I followed this brand when I first started learning digital marketing.
- Amy Porterfield’s Online Marketing Made Easy Podcast — I love this podcast!! It has taught me so much about digital marketing!
- Looking for an email service provider? You’ll likely need a paid version to run an automatic drip sequence. Many farmers start with Mailchimp. I use and love ConvertKit. If you want to have fancy “newsletter”-looking templates, then I recommend ActiveCampaign.
- My CSA Membership Academy — This tool has been a lifeline for my CSA members. Now farmers can join this online library on a monthly or annual basis and get access to the “success path” I’ve created for my CSA members to help them become really good at using their box. I have a lot of farmers who purchase the Academy to help them get ideas and templates for their own training system. Join now for a month, and cancel anytime!
