Ep 2: Who Is Your Ideal Customer?

Ep 2: Who Is Your Ideal Customer?

May 1, 2019 by Corinna

Whom are you targeting with your marketing and messaging?

Here’s a big paradigm shift you need to commit to memory:

“If you’re talking to everyone, you’re talking to no one.”

We used to try and make everyone our CSA member. We have since learned that this strategy is not effective.

In this episode, I share with you what I consider to be the MOST important marketing fundamental you need to know. It all starts with understanding who your target customer is.

In the marketing world, we call this customer the “ICA” — the Ideal Customer Avatar. And every business should have one. Once you know who your ICA is, you tailor ALL your marketing to THEM (and only them).

In this episode, I talk through:

  • How to figure out who your ICA is
  • How to use this information to attract more of them into your brand
  • How ICAs act and feel with respect to your brand
  • A real life example of what an ICA looks like for a brand we all know and love
  • What information you should collect about your ICA

Once you master this skill, you will get sudden clarity about how to talk to your customer, what products to make for your customer, and how to better serve your customer to give them the desired transformation.

Hit play and let’s get started!

I also talked about my ICA Worksheet you can download to help you research your own customer. Grab it here.
